البيت الوطني يستذكر جريمة ملجأ العامرية في ذكراها الواحدة والثلاثين.
تمرّ علينا اليوم الذكرى الواحدة والثلاثون لجريمةِ تفجير ملجأ العامرية, حيث استهدفت الطائرات الأمريكية الملجأ مما أدى إلى استشهاد أكثر من 400 شخص جلّهم من الأطفال والنساء.
يستذكر البيت الوطني هذه الجريمة البشعة ويؤكد على أن هذه الجريمة تعتبر من جرائم الحرب الدولية، ويستنكر بشدة إهمال التحقيق في القضية حيث تعتبر هذه الجريمة انتهاكًا واضحًا للقانون الدولي الإنساني الذي تنص بعض مواده “على حظر مهاجمة الأعيان المدنية”.
ويحثّ البيت الوطني، الأمم المتحدة على تحقيق العدالة لشعب العراق من خلال محاسبة الجناة، ويوصي البيت الوطني المفوضية السامية لحقوق الإنسان بممارسة جميع التدابير اللازمة لإنشاء لجنة دولية مستقلة. ويتوجب على هذه اللجنة المستقلة التحقيق في جميع الانتهاكات في العراق. كما يتوجب على الأمم المتحدة إنشاء محكمة دولية مكلّفة بمحاكمة جميع مرتكبي الجرائم الدولية على الأراضي العراقية خلال العقود الأربعة الأخيرة.

The party of Al-bait Al-Watani recalls the crime of Al-Amiriya shelter on its 31st anniversary.
Today we are witnessing the 31st anniversary of the bombing of Al Amiriya shelter, where American planes targeted the shelter, which resulted in killing more than 400 people, mostly children and women.
The party recalls this heinous crime and stresses that this crime is an international war crime, and strongly condemns neglecting the investigation of the case, as this crime is a clear violation of international humanitarian law which some of its articles stipulate “the prohibition of attacking civilian objects.”
The party urges the United Nations to achieve justice for the people of Iraq by holding the perpetrators accountable, and the party recommends to the OHCHR to exercise every necessary measure to establish an independent international commission. This independent commission must investigate all forms of abuse in Iraq. The United Nations should also establish an international tribunal charged with trying all perpetrators of international crimes on Iraqi territory over the last four decades.
